Penguin Awareness Day
uShaka Sea World is celebrating African Penguin Awareness Day on Saturday 8th October 2011
Penguins are our business. We all need healthy oceans to survive and so do the penguins. African Penguin Awareness Day hopes to raise awareness of the plight of our very own African Penguin which is only found on the Southern African coastline, and has recently been declared endangered.
uShaka Sea World is celebrating African Penguin Awareness Day by inviting the public to dress in black and white or wear a bowtie which are the colours African Penguin and head down to uShaka Marine World where you will be rewarded for your support of the penguins by receiving 25% off the price of your entrance ticket to Sea World, Wet 'n Wild or a Combo ticket.
The penguins will make a guest appearance in the Dolphin Shows. Fun activities are planned at the Penguin Rookery from 9am to 4pm where children’s art tables and face painters focus on penguins. Sea World staff members will be on hand to tell you more about these delightful birds and how your actions can have a positive effect on their survival.
