Turtle Lagoon
The Turtle Lagoon is home to sea turtles which are some of
the most ancient animals alive on earth. They are reptiles that breathe air while being adapted to living in the sea. Five species occur in South African waters, two of which nest on the beaches in northern KwaZulu-Natal. Turtles are under threat worldwide. The turtles share their home with rockcods, barracuda and kingfish.
