Tours leave the Education Centre at 09h00, 09h30, 10h00, 10h30, 11h00 and 11h30. Each tour lasts two-and-a-half hours and may include a dolphin show.
The tour will cater for a maximum of 120 learners at any given time.
Education Centre staff accompany each group of learners from their entrance to their exit within the precinct of Sea World.
Your visit will follow a set programme that ensures the best educational value. (An area may be closed due to unforeseen circumstances such as operational issues.)
The duration of a visit to Sea World is two-and-a-half hours. A dolphin show will be included but cannot be guaranteed as performances are subject to animal behaviour. School visits do not include seal shows.
Please note that Wet 'n Wild is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays out of season.
Visits to Dangerous Creatures in the shopping area of uShaka Marine World can be arranged at a separate additional fee. The opening times and number of learners allowed into Dangerous Creatures is different to uShaka Sea World.
There are other activities such as snorkelling and uShaka Kids' World. There are separate charges for these.
Conduct and supervision
Learners are required to wear school uniform for easy identification in the park so that they do not get lost and get left behind!
One educator per 20 learners will be admitted at no charge to supervise the learners for the full duration of the visit. One further Educator per 20 learners will be admitted at a discounted rate.
Educators are expected to accompany and supervise the group at all times during their visit to Sea World.
Educators are responsible for controlling their groups.
No additional adults may accompany the group without prior permission being obtained.
Learners are expected to be considerate towards the rest of the public in the Park.
Groups on an education concession visit to Sea World may not access the shopping area during this visit. This can be done as a group before or after the visit.
Each tour shall comprise a maximum of 120 learners and 12 adults. The minimum group size for an education concession is 15 learners.
Times of visits
Groups that arrive early will be asked to wait outside the gate until their booked time slot.
Groups that arrive late for booked tours will be accommodated on the next time slot that becomes available, in order to accommodate the set number for any given time in the park.
Should a group arrive with numbers in excess of the booked number, the excess numbers will only be permitted access if they do not exceed the maximum number of learners permitted in uShaka Sea World at the time.
Food purchased from outside of Sea World or Wet 'n Wild is not allowed inside the park.
An exception has been made to enable learners to bring their own lunch boxes into Sea World. These may not contain take-away items unless removed from their packaging. Bulk items such as large packets of chips or two-litre cold drinks may not be brought into the park. No straws are permitted inside Sea World.
Packed lunches may be eaten in designated areas of Sea World, as may food purchased within Sea World and Wet 'n Wild. Menus will be forwarded on request if you require a meal. Food may only be eaten at a time that is provided for in the tour programme. This can be negotiated with The education guides at the beginning of the tour.
Under no circumstances may food and drink of any kind be taken into Wet 'n Wild.
We hope the above assists you with your planning. We will do our utmost to ensure that your learners have a happy day and benefit from the experience as many have in the past. Please feel free to contact us to find out more about the tours and make suggestions that may be of mutual benefit to both Sea World and your group.
School groups are only admitted to Sea World at the education discounted rate if accompanied by a uShaka Sea World education guide. Unaccompanied groups will be charged at the full rate.
