World Wetlands Day raises awareness about the value of wetlands for people and the planet. All water on Earth is connected. Water that goes down your drain or runs  from your garden enters wetlands and rivers. Chemicals rinsed down the drain can affect everything that depends on water. What can I do? I promise to use eco-friendly cleaning products.

Earth Hour

Earth hour encourages everyone to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour as a symbol of their commitment to the planet.   You can help slow climate change and ocean acidification by reducing your "carbon footprint" (the amount of greenhouse gases released as you go about your daily activities). Earth Day

Earth Day has motivated people into action for the environment since 1970.  www.earthday.org Bottled water takes huge amounts of fossil fuels to produce and transport.  Most water bottles end up in landfills or in the ocean.  These should be recycled. What can I do? I promise to stop buying bottled water. I promise to drink tap water.
